We are gratified for our past customers continued support and success and are happy with the continued increase of new customers. One of the many reasons, we have such a dedicated past customer base is because we have one of the very best formulas for high quality cattle in the industry and have been able to regularly improve it, while a lot of other formulas have been reduced. We attribute our tremendous growth to the industry trend of producers aligning themselves to a value based marketing system such as GeneNet, that will return to them maximum premiums, and a commitment to the highest degree of customer service.

Many advantages that our customers have had the opportunity to enjoy are due to the flexibility in options available:

• You can use the Nebraska Weighted Average or Bid to determine the start price on our formula.
• Most of our customers like to use the weekly Nebraska weighted average, which USDA will figure up what all the cattle sold for each week in Nebraska. Call me on Monday to schedule your cattle and we will use the weighted average for that week and kill them the following week.
• If you would like to bid the Start Price just call our office early in the week at 785-628-3004 and when they are trading cattle I will call you and give you the bid price, if you accept it, then we’ll schedule to harvest the cattle the following week.
• You can “Forward Contract” your cattle on our Grid. You can choose your future target month the cattle will be ready and set the price off that month’s futures price plus or minus the basis. This will set your start price on our grid.

Age Verification: GeneNet was the first alliance to get age and source verified premiums to our customers and we continue to do that. The premiums paid in 2009 from week to week varied from $45 to $15/head in addition to all the Grid premiums. We will get you a competitive premium each week. It is well worth your time and effort to get your calves Age & Source Verified.

Over the past 11 years we have harvested over 1,000,000 head on our formula. All of these have averaged $17.17 per head over the average price while the top 25% have averaged $48.35. Thanks to JBS and our exclusive carcass merit Grid, a total of over $17,000,000 in premiums has been returned to our customers. JBS’s interest in acquiring top cattle, helping to develop relationships with feeders and producers is second to none in the industry today.

We have worked with over 2000 Feedlots and Cow/Calf producers and adding more all the time. These producers rely on feedlot and carcass data to help them improve their herds. A large percentage of these cow/calf producers have now become retained owners. We are working with the CAB Supply Development Team and their Certified Feedlots. We are also working with the Charolais, Red Angus and many other non black hided cattle to provide their producers an added premium called “Swift Premium Classic”, which is a premium for upper 2/3’s Choice that are not black hided.
